Mandeep qualified from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc as a Mental Health Nurse. She worked within the National Health Service (NHS) and private sector in the UK including experience on an 18–bedded acute psychiatric unit and a 20–bedded care home working with clients who had dementia, predominantly Alzheimer’s disease.
Mandeep’s private healthcare experience included working at the prestigious Priory Hospital where she treated clients in a group setting and 1:1 therapy sessions with clients who had a multitude of diagnoses, and primarily clients who had depression and anxiety based disorders. She has also run her own private practice HOPE therapy (Hold On Pain Ends) assessing and treating clients who have a range of mental health problems in London.
Mandeep is a regular speaker for the BBC Asian Network Women’s panel, and has delivered discussions on Dilse Radio, the BBC West Midlands Radio station, as well as live shows on T.V and events discussing prevention in mental health. Mandeep articles are regularly featured for ‘Health Magazine’ in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ‘Members Only Magazine’ (Mlog).
Mandeep is the committee chair of the professional development team for the Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA), and is licensed with Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and currently studying for an exam to obtain a license with the Community Development Authority (CDA).
